Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are always welcome — that is what the sign in the window says and we mean it. But booking a slot means the part is already on the bench when you arrive and you are not waiting behind three other people at 5pm on a Saturday. Booking is free and takes a minute.
I cannot get to the shop — what are my options?
Post it to us. Book a slot for the day you send it, use a tracked and insured service, and include a note with your booking reference and a phone number. We confirm receipt the same working day, diagnose it free, and tell you the price before touching anything. It suits board-level faults, water damage and data recovery especially well, since those need the bench for a day or two regardless. We are not running home visits at the moment; if that changes we will say so here.
How long does a repair take?
Most phone screens and batteries take 30–60 minutes while you wait. Tablets, laptops and back-glass jobs usually need a few hours. Board-level and water-damage work takes 1–3 days because it involves cleaning, drying and testing. We will give you a realistic time at the counter, not an optimistic one.
What guarantee do I get?
Repairs carry a 3-month guarantee on parts and workmanship, and batteries carry 6 months. That sits on top of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which we do not ask you to waive. Accidental damage, liquid damage after the repair, and water-damage recovery work are excluded — we will explain why before you commit.
Will I lose my data?
Almost never for a screen, battery or port repair — we do not need to wipe anything. Even so, please back up before you hand the device over, because no repair is completely without risk and we cannot be responsible for data we never had a copy of. Software repairs and board work carry a genuine risk of data loss, and we will say so explicitly first.
Do you need my passcode?
For a screen repair, yes — we cannot confirm touch, Face ID and rotation work without unlocking it, and handing back an untested phone is how you end up coming back. If you would rather not share it, you are welcome to stay and unlock the device yourself for testing. We never browse your content, and the passcode is deleted from the job sheet when the repair closes.
