Battery replacement in Walthamstow

If your phone dies by lunchtime, shuts down in the cold, or drops twenty per cent at a time, it is the battery — not the phone. A new cell costs from £20 and takes about half an hour, and ours carry a six-month guarantee rather than the usual three.

What usually goes wrong

  • Dies by early afternoon

Lithium cells lose capacity from the day they are made. Under about 80% health you will notice it daily. On iPhone check Settings → Battery → Battery Health; on Android, Settings → Battery.

  • Shuts down at 30% or in the cold

A worn cell cannot deliver peak current, so the phone cuts out rather than browning out. Very common on iPhones through a London winter.

  • Back cover lifting, or a curved screen

A swollen battery. Stop using it, do not charge it, and bring it in — this is the one battery symptom that is genuinely a safety issue.

  • Charges to 100% then drops instantly

The gauge has lost calibration against a failing cell. A new battery and a proper first charge cycle fixes it.

Ask us something

How much is a phone battery replacement?

From £20 for most Android handsets and older iPhones, rising for current flagships. Every model is priced on this page. It includes fitting, testing and a six-month guarantee.

Will my iPhone still show battery health afterwards?

Apple displays a 'Service' or 'Unknown part' notice for any battery not fitted by Apple, including genuine cells — that is Apple's policy, not a sign of a bad part. Capacity reporting works normally on most models. We will tell you exactly what your model will show before we start.

How long will a new battery last?

Typically two to three years of normal use, or roughly 500 to 800 full charge cycles. Ours carry a six-month guarantee against defects, on top of your statutory rights.
